Dear Ms. Sharafat,
We want to take this opportunity upon the passing of my father on June 13, 2017 to thank you personally for the wonderful and sensitive care my father our entire family received from Homestead Hospice in Greenville S.C.
Whether it was Marti, the coordinator, Joleen the DON, Patrina Dad's caregiver, Alice the Chaplain or Ben our nurse, we always felt respected and supported throughout the 2½ months my Dad was under their care.
But beyond our deep appreciation for all of these wonderful people we want to especially acknowledge Ben, our nurse. There are no words to adequately express how truly special he is.
From the beginning, he was there to not only take care of my Dad but took care of all the various details and tasks of bringing him home from the hospital. he was there to take my phone calls or texts, answering my questions and assuring us all along the way.
Ben was there to witness my anger, my despair, my doubts and my tears. And we knew he understood beyond anything you learn in a book.
Ben supported us in a way that didn't make us feel embarrassed or humiliated especially for my Dad but also all of us. He would tell you he was simply doing his job... But he truly tips the scale for excellence.
Ben has imprinted himself in our hears and minds forever and we will always be indebted to him for the exceptional love and care he displayed. And so we felt you needed to know.
In Honor of My Father
and appreciation for
Homestead Hospice's care
